This collagen stimulator PLLA, poly-L-lactic acid helps restore deep, underlying structure of the skin to diminish facial wrinkles, adding facial volume and the look of fullness to wrinkles and folds over time. Restoring lost collagen requires a series of treatments administered by one of our highly trained Nurse Injectors. Results can last more than two years. Areas we can treat with Sculptra:

How Does Sculptra Work?

Sculptra is injected into the skin to diminish facial wrinkles. It contains PLLA, which acts as a collagen stimulator, helping to gradually restore fullness to facial wrinkles and folds. This results in a softer and more youthful appearance. You may notice immediate results, but it can take a few months to see the full results of your treatment. During your initial consultation, you and our Nurse Injector will determine the number of treatment sessions needed to achieve the best result. The average regimen consists of three injections spread out over three or four months.

What Does A Sculptra Treatment Look Like?

During your initial consultation, you’ll be asked to provide your complete medical history, including any medical conditions and allergies.

On the day of your first Sculptra treatment, your Nurse Injector will map the injection sites on your skin and cleanse the area. A topical anesthetic will be applied to help with any discomfort. We will then make multiple small injections using a needle or cannula. Sculptra mixed with a numbing agent called lidocaine will be injected. Very comfortable!

What Should I Expect After Treatment?

Immediately post treatment you MUST do 5 minute massage, 5 times a day, first 5 days, or you will risk the formation of collagen nodules. Your appearance immediately post treatment is a great indication of the results you will achieve from Sculptra. That is due to the dilution of fluid, which over 24 hours, you will return to your baseline. You may experience redness, tenderness, and minor discomfort.

How Many Sculptra Treatments Will I Need And When Will I See Results?

Sculptra is a series treatment to achieve maximum results. You will come back for your second treatment in 6-8 weeks, in which you will see mild to moderate results. If receiving more than 2 treatments, expect to see full results in a minimum of 18 weeks. Sculptra will dissolve in 2-4 months, replaced with collagen, cell and tissue support.

How Long Do Sculptra Results Last?

After your initial series of treatments, we say come back once a year for your “birthday vial” to maintain your results!
