How Does MOXI Work?

MOXI is a non ablative laser energy. MOXI is specifically designed for younger patients and targeted towards preventative anti-aging measures, MOXI’s fractionated 1927 nm wavelength leaves patients glowing without any required social downtime. MOXI comfortably delivers non-ablative laser energy to revitalize your skin by correcting the initial signs of sun damage and aging, no matter the season or skin type. It's also designed to target the most stubborn of hormonal pigmentation.

Does MOXI Hurt?

With the help of a topical anesthetic, you’ll probably only feel a bit of discomfort. Towards the end of treatment, you’ll begin to feel warmth caused by the treatment, but completely tolerable.

What is MOXI Recovery Like?

Right after your treatment, your skin will be red and warm, almost as if you have a sunburn. We have a device called the Zimmer chiller, which you may choose to use for a few minutes post treatment to alleviate the heat you may be experiencing. We recommend cold clothes, cold packs, even a cold roller to use 1-2 hours post treatment. Redness is normal and expected. Redness generally increases in intensity for the first few days after treatment, with day 3 being the most intense.

MEND’s (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) will appear on the 2nd or 3rd day after treatment as dark spots and bronzed appearance to the treated skin. They are part of the healing process, feel like sandpaper and will flake off in a few days. Keep the skin moisturized.

Swelling occurs first 2-4 days post treatment. Especially undereye first day. You may choose to sleep in an upright position for the first 2-3 nights.

Consider adding-on exosomes! Exosomes contain potent regenerative properties that penetrate deep into the skin delivering growth factors, peptides, coenzymes, amino acids and vitamins. With their tremendous anti-inflammatory and wound healing benefits, it’s a no brainer to add-on post treatment. Add-on to your HALO, MOXI, or Micro-needling treatment.

It is important to keep your skin hydrated and protected from the sun for the first 2 weeks.

Avoid lotion immediately following treatment. A gentle cleanser and moisturizer is recommended after treatment. It is suggested that retinoids are discontinued two weeks prior to initial treatment and throughout the course of treatment. The use of retinoids during the course of treatment may result in undesirable side effects and prolonged healing. You should avoid products or manual forms of exfoliation of skin for at least 2 weeks after the treatment.
