What exactly is Radiesse, and how does it work?
Radiesse is a dermal filler composed of calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) that works immediately after injection. CaHA, naturally present in the body, consists of phosphate and calcium. Radiesse is customizable to your needs and desired outcomes. It can fill hollowed areas, smoothing the skin's surface, and overall initiating tissue regeneration. Aging presents itself in a variety of factors such as fat loss, thinning skin, little tissue elasticity, which leads to loss of volume and firmness, making bones, tendons, joints, and veins more prominent. However, with Radiesse, crepey skin can regain plumpness and elasticity.
How it Works:
To kick off the process, our Nurse Injectors begin by reconstituting or 'hydrating' the Radiesse, priming it for optimal injection. But what does hydrating the product entail, you might ask? This top-notch method enables the product to adapt to a range of treatment objectives, effectively tackling diverse skin laxity and volume concerns. For instance, in areas with thinner skin, additional hydration may be sought to prioritize skin quality over volumizing the treatment area.
Once we have this beautiful product ready to go, it's injected using precise technique in the targeted area using an ultra-fine cannula. Overall, the treatment takes roughly 30 minutes! After treatment, you may experience bruising, and soreness, but very mild.
